Questions, answered.
Everything people ask us about booking, payments, fuel, safety and listing a vehicle.
01What is Movio?
Movio is a vehicle rental marketplace for Davao and nearby areas. You can rent cars, vans, motorbikes and trucks from verified owners and rental companies, self-drive or with a driver.
02Where is Movio available?
Davao City, Island Garden City of Samal, Tagum, Digos, Panabo and Mati. Some owners also allow trips to Bukidnon and other provinces.
03Do I need to download the app?
Yes. Booking, verification, agreements and live trip tracking all happen in the Movio app for Android and iOS.
04How do I book a vehicle?
Choose a trip type, pick your dates and a vehicle, select self-drive or with driver, then send a request. The owner confirms it in the app.
05Can I add side trips or multiple stops?
Yes. Add stops when booking. Mileage is checked by odometer at pickup and return, and any excess over the daily km limit is charged at the owner's rate.
06Can I book while another rental is active?
No. To keep things safe and fair, you can only have one active rental at a time. You can book again once your current trip is completed.
07What documents do I need?
A valid government ID and a selfie for all bookings. Self-drive bookings also need a valid Philippine driver's license.
08How do I pay?
You can pay online in the app or in cash at pickup, depending on what the owner accepts. The total includes the rental, driver fee, add-ons, service fee and refundable deposit.
09How do promo codes work?
Enter a code like TROPA or WELCOME100 on the booking screen. The discount is applied to your first trip amount if the booking meets the promo conditions.
10Who pays for fuel?
It depends on the vehicle's fuel policy: client fuel, full-to-full, or fuel included. The policy is shown on every listing before you book.
11How do I list my vehicle?
Create a partner account in the app, add your vehicle with photos, OR/CR and rates, then wait for Movio to approve the listing.
12Can I block days when my car is not available?
Yes. Block specific dates or set recurring weekdays when the vehicle is unserviceable. Customers cannot request those days.
13When do I get paid?
Payouts are released after the trip is completed and the return inspection is signed by both sides.
14What happens if the car breaks down?
Tap SOS in the live trip bar and report the incident with photos and location. Movio coordinates towing and mechanics on our end.
15Is there a rental agreement?
Yes. Both the customer and owner sign a digital rental agreement and waiver in the app before the trip starts.
16What if there is an accident?
Call 911 for injuries first. Then report the incident in the app so our team, the owner and the insurer can respond quickly.
17Can I deactivate my account?
Yes. Go to Account, then Close account. Deactivating hides your profile and you can come back anytime by signing in.
18How do I delete my account permanently?
Go to Account, then Close account, and choose Delete permanently. Booking records are anonymized and kept for legal purposes.
